Yard Waste, Yard Waste and More Yard Waste !

Yesterday's job was tiring, hot and sweaty... Three truck loads out of a property in Middletown, MD.

Even though we were tired, we still managed to unload this gentleman's truck at the landfill because we just wanted to help him.

He seemed to be at least 80 years old and he had a truck full of yard waste also. He said "You guys are fast... God bless you". - All we needed to hear.

This morning we hauled away from Frederick, MD one truck load of furniture and donated it to the Goodwill, then another half load of junk to the landfill and one half truck load to the recycling center.

We Did It Again !

Last week we went to Jefferson, MD to give an estimate to a great couple. They told us that they would let us know because they were interviewing and getting estimates from other companies.

A couple of days later, they called us and told us that we had won the bid.

We showed up yesterday to haul the items away. We had told them that it would be a couple of truck loads. They said "there's no way you can fit everything in two truck loads"...

To their surprise, we did it... we hauled everything they had in two truck loads :-)

Needless to say they were very happy.

...and yes, we were able to donate and recycle lots of items.

A couple of weeks ago we bought a wheelbarrow at a flea market for $20... Best purchase ever.

This morning in Middletown, MD we had to move all the wood from next to the shed to the truck parked in the front yard (see red arrow).

Luckily the rain stayed away and no snakes this time :-)

When we got to the landfill, this 70+ year old guy pulled up next to us with a truck full of branches... yup, we helped him unload it.

This client called us from South Carolina a couple of days ago.

Unfortunately her son passed away recently. He was living in Smithsburg, MD.

He had a small basement full of 20 year old junk. After talking with us, we decided to give the client a big discount based on the circumstances. She was very happy and relieved to have found us and decided to go ahead and hire us.

We cleaned the basement out yesterday. Had to bag a lof of the junk and fortunately we were able to fit it all in one truck load.

Big Load? No Problem.

8,580 lbs, that's how much junk we hauled away yesterday from a house clean-out in Frederick, MD.

Took three of us 7 hours straight without taking a break from start to finish. We had to empty drawers, closets, cabinets, bathrooms, etc. and filled up about 90 42 gallon contractor bags, plus furniture, medical equipment, beds, even a wooden picnic table, etc.

We completely filled up our 26 foot truck from floor to ceiling.

The clients were shocked and relieved that we completed the task in one day.

Our helpers received a nice pay for their efforts because we DO NOT believe in the Maryland minimum wage policy. Nobody should be exploited for working hard.

Kudos to our clients also for asking for proof of insurance and the legitimacy of our company. This helps weed out the people that are performing this type of service "under-the-table", not paying taxes or contributing to the economy of this country.

Here are just a few pictures from our jobs yesterday. This is only one load of three that we had.

The sliding door you see there, we actually had to remove it in order to get a 280 lbs solid wood desk that was inside (among many other items).

The client was very pleased because he called us yesterday morning while we were taking care of another client in Urbana, MD, and within 90 minutes, we were hauling away his items from Frederick, MD.

Yup!, that's how we roll.. :-)

Feeling it today... :-)

Yesterday we went to North Potomac, MD to do a house clean-out.

The lady was super extra nice, she was even concerned about our health and wanted us to take breaks, she kept offering water.. :-)

We even went out of our way and helped her pack some stuff. In the end we were very thankful that she gave us a nice tip and a brand new foldable hand truck to use on our jobs.

Wish every person in the world was like this. It would definetely be a better place to live.

BTW, did we mention how much we love driving these trucks?.. :-)
